1. What Emerald Tally is
Emerald Tally helps you track mileage, expenses, receipts, and estimated taxes. It is a bookkeeping and planning tool. It is not a tax preparer, accountant, or law firm, and nothing in the app is tax, legal, or financial advice.
2. Estimates
Estimates are for planning only and aren't tax advice. Your actual tax may differ. Check with a tax professional before making decisions.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and provide a working email address.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of what you confirm, including trip purposes and business-use percentages.
- You can invite an accountant or partner; you choose which businesses they see and can remove them at any time.
4. Bank connections
We connect to your financial institutions through Plaid with read-only access. We only read transactions. We can never move money.
5. Text messages
Texts are sent only if you opt in. The consent you give when you turn texts on reads:
By checking this box you agree to receive automated texts from Emerald Tally about your trips, expenses, and tax deadlines. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
6. Plans and billing
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing period. Free-plan limits never delete your data.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account in Settings → Data. Deletion happens after a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel or export your data.
